Inclusive Diverse Equitable
World Arts West acknowledges all types of prejudice, discrimination, marginalization and erasure that have impacted our organization and community. We address these impacts while celebrating and taking pride in our traditional cultures.

Artist Centered 
We consider the best interest of the artists we serve when we create programs or services, produce events, enter partnerships, and hire contractors. 

Fiscally Responsible
We offer programs, services and events within our budget and staff capacity. We strengthen the fiscal health of dance companies with equitable pay, grant capacity workshops, and career roundtables to build resourceful, sustainable dance companies.

Leaders In the Field
World Arts West board members, staff, and artists are represented on important local, regional and national platforms. We have seats at the table where decisions, policies, and protocols are determined. We build cross-cultural coalitions. 

Create Our Narrative
We tell our stories and histories from our own perspectives. We use our voices and  agency to advocate for our community and our future. We encourage each other to show up as our whole selves. We speak plainly and respectfully.
