Migrations

World Arts West is proud to partner with Nava Dance Theatre for this presentation of Migrations. Inspired by community interviews with South Asian immigrant women who arrived after the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act, Migrations explores the origins of the labor of immigrant artists.

Facilitated by Nadhi Thekkek of Nava Dance Theatre and Dr. Anne Huang of World Arts West, this virtual story circle featured an exclusive first-look of Migrations, followed by a roundtable dialogue with highly-acclaimed cultural artists, Naomi Diouf of Diamano Coura West African Dance Company and Carlos Moreno of Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Carlos Moreno.
