Empowering Cultural Artists to Thrive Professionally
Cultural artists are pillars of identity; they preserve world dance forms, teach traditions, and build community health. Yet, systemic barriers—lack of access to funding, professional structures, technical resources—can hamper their flourishing. Our Artist Service Programs are designed to change that path.
Since 2022, our Grants Accelerator Program (GAP) has supported a cohort of cultural artists and dance companies as they craft, submit, and leverage major grants. To date, GAP participants have collectively secured over $4 million in new funds.
We also offer Special Artist Commissions, fueling new, large-scale, culturally significant works that push performance art boundaries—enabling both artistic innovation and economic sustainability
Our Career Pathways Program connects cultural artists to alternative career opportunities that sustain the arts ecosystem—from producing, grant management, teaching, to contracts and digital media. This helps creatives build hybrid careers that anchor their artistic vision in stable income.
Beyond that, we deliver workshops in fiscal sponsorship, digital archiving, equitable contracting, and marketing. These empower artists to maintain professional standards without losing cultural authenticity.
Our impact is measurable: over 450 dance companies and 100+ traditions benefit annually. We are building the infrastructure—capacity, literacy, and networks—for cultural artists to not just exist but thrive.
