DANCE EVENT
San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival Auditions

Ninety-five Northern California dance companies representing dance traditions from around the world will perform hoping for a coveted spot in the 2006 San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival. Artists present their very best work, in full costume and many with live musical accompaniment. The auditions offer a rare opportunity to enjoy intricate Korean court dances, trick and fancy rope dances from the American Southwest, enchanting Persian dances, sizzling Argentinean tango and milangas, paddle dances from the kingdom of Tonga, twirling and graceful Mexican folkloric dances and even Hip-Hop. And anyone can watch for only $5 a day!

San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival Auditions – 95 Northern California dance companies will perform over two weekends

DATE: Saturday and Sunday, January 14 & 15, 2006 and Saturday and Sunday, January 21 & 22, 2006
TIME: 10 A.M. TO 6 P.M.
WHERE:

McKenna Theater in the Creative Arts Building, San Francisco State University, 1600 Holloway Ave. (at 19th Avenue), San Francisco

COST:

$5.00 per day – includes in and out privileges
